Ardmore School Coranovirus Fundraiser:
Dear Ardmore Elementary Community,
It has been a difficult spring, to say the least. And for some families it’s been worse. We’ve all found ourselves in a situation nobody was able to foresee or plan for. As a PTSA, our main concern is ensuring every child has an equal chance for learning, which means that for now, our emphasis is on crisis assistance. In our last general meeting in March we decided to transfer funds in our budget to Ardmore’s Family Connection Center for family assistance and to local organizations that work directly with families in the Ardmore Elementary School area (Please see here for fund allocations). These funds directly helped many Ardmore families, and we want to ensure that no family will face hunger or homelessness during the summer months.
Under normal conditions, we have one fundraiser a year, the Olympics, and that’s when we ask for your donations. However, the conditions are not normal, and at our last Ardmore PTSA board meeting we decided to kick off an emergency fundraiser from now through the end of May. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by May 31st, which will ensure emergency family assistance funds for the summer, and also give next year’s board a starting balance to plan for the uncertainties of next year’s school year.
If you can, please give using either PayPal or Square. We’re in this together.
Thank you,
Anna Brinck
