Return Your Computers and Books June 19th, 2020
And pick up items that you have left at school
As the school year ends ALL computers and books from the district must be returned to the school on June 19 at Ardmore ES between 11:00 AM-5:30 PM. When you drop off you can also pick up student work materials left at school, if there are any.

As we do this, staff and your family health will be our primary concern – we must follow the state guidelines and social distancing during this process.
The drop off/pickup will take place via your vehicle in the student drop-off/pick-up zone of Ardmore Elementary. All drop off/pickup will be done from the trunk of your vehicle. No one should get out of their car.
No lost and found items will be available for pick up because of social distancing and health guidelines.
STEP 1 – Prepare to Leave for the School

- Have student name/s and grade level written in large print on paper or card and place in your vehicle passenger side window (see example below)
- Place all items for return in your trunk, including
Book room and Reading books - Library books
- Laptops and hot spots if you are not participating in summer learning opportunities (include all chargers, cords and cases)
- Musical instruments – recorders for 4th grade and instruments for current 5th

- You must use your vehicle to do the drop off pick up. Walk-up options are not allowed to ensure staff safety and to meet health guidelines.
STEP 2 – Drop Off/Pick Up Protocol:

- Drive to the Ardmore Elementary at the designated time (if you have more than one child, choose the window that works best for your family)
- Enter the family parking lot drive through (172nd) at <10 mph. Follow the directions and signs in the parking lot.
- Stop 1 – Pull up to the STOP sign. A greeter will read your student name and radio to the building for student materials. The greeter will then direct you to the next stop.
- Stop 2 – Drive to Stop 2. Pop or unlock your trunk so staff can access the trunk of your car. Staff will remove the items to be returned and place them in carts. A check off receipt will be left the trunk as evidence for what you have returned everything – Library Books, Bookroom Books, Music Instruments, Computers (case, charger, device, hotspot (if you have one), hotspot power cord).
- Stop 3 – Drive to Stop 3 with trunk open. Student materials from classrooms will be placed in your trunk and your trunk will be closed. Family can leave the school at 10 mph.
For staff and your safety:
Do not roll down your window.
Do not exit your vehicle.
Be prepared to open/unlock your trunk.
Safety – If you are not feeling well including any of the following symptoms (but not limited to):
- A fever within the last 72 hours
- Coughing
- Shortness of breath
- Vomiting
- Body aches
- Loss of taste or smell
Or if you or someone in your family or someone you have been in close contact with is showing signs of COVID-19 including the symptoms above, please stay home. More information regarding symptoms is available on CDC website. Please do not participate at this time. See information below.
Please practice good hygiene and physical distancing including:
- Frequent hand washing
- Avoid touching your face including eyes, nose, and mouth
- Frequently use hand sanitizer
- Remain at least 6 feet apart from others.
Other Options for Drop Off and Pick Up:
If the day does not work for you, consider asking a friend to return the materials to the school for you if it is safe to do so.
